Alex Smith was previously Chief Financial Officer of SThree PLC, the FTSE 250 multinational staffing and consulting business. During his 13 years at the company, he was involved in several transformations and led the Group strategy processes, including refocusing Finance to become a strategic partner, creating a Centre of Excellence in Glasgow, driving Risk and Governance agendas and being heavily involved with M&A. Before SThree, he held various CFO, senior finance and Managing Director roles at TUI Travel PLC, Travel Lodge, First Choice Holidays, WH Smith, and Granada PLC. He is a qualified accountant and economics graduate from Durham University. Alex brings significant experience in corporate strategy, business transformation, and Board governance.
