We at Sheffield Haworth are hugely excited to be supporting Link, the cross-insurance LGBTQ+ network and the #LinkPride2022 campaign. To mark the 50th Anniversary of Pride, we want to do something extra special. We’re sponsoring a market-wide design competition and supporting Queer Frontiers, an art exhibition with ARTIQ and Link that will run from June 30 to July 10 in London’s Soho. The exhibition will feature diverse international artists in an event that celebrates all forms of diversity.
The design competition will run throughout Pride month and into July and be accompanied by a series of creative and educational events.
In August, a shortlist will be chosen and an expert panel will select the top three designs.
In September, the three finalists – whether they are an individual or a team – will each be paired with an artist to create a maquette based on their design, with the winner announced at an event to mark LGBTQ+ History Month in February 2023.
Proceeds from this initiative we are supporting will go to the Albert Kennedy Trust and Outside In, with the campaign aiming to raise tens of thousands of pounds to support their vital work.
Running alongside the art competition will be a series of webinars, in-person panel events, talks and networking opportunities run by Link, ARTIQ and the charitable partners.
Sheffield Haworth is really proud to be a part of this initiative and are excited to see how it will inspire creativity and bring awareness to make a greater impact in the workplace for the LGBTQ+ community.
